Modified Public Health Orders for Places of Public Accommodations Effective May 1

Governor Mark Gordon announced on April 28, 2020 that new public health orders, effective May 1, will allow places of public accommodations to provide services under specific operating conditions.

Requirements for these facilities include:

•No onsite consumption allowed.

•Offer food & beverage service via delivery, window, walk-up, drive-through, and drive-up service.

•Staff handling financial transactions may not be involved in food preparation.

•If providing food service, the establishment may allow five (5) customers into facility as long as social distancing is observed.

•Staff to be screened daily for symptoms/exposure to COVID-19. No employee showing symptoms will be allowed to work.

•Lodging facilities may only provide room service.

•Cigar bars, movie theatres, concert halls, etc. are to remain closed.

•Does not apply to grocery, markets, food retail stores, pharmacies, room service, health care, juvenile justice, crisis centers, airport concessions, emergency facilities, etc.
